A Message from Mr. Kellen, the 6-8 Head of School.

Happy Second Semester!!
We start the year with our middle of the year assessments in NWEA and iReady.
As we look forward to closing out the year strong, I want to reaffirm our commitment to our NACA Mission of growing young leaders that are secure in their identity, holistically well, and academically prepared.
At the beginning of the year I mentioned 4 big ideas:
* Return of Rigor: What this means is pushing students in their Intellectual Wellness.
* Return of Challenges: School wide challenges that will promote positive ways to showcase their socio/emotional wellness.
* Continuation of Demos: all middle school students will participate in showcasing their knowledge.
* Continuation of Learning Outside Four Walls: Student outdoor/land based experiences shape who they are and who they can became.
This is our roadmap to achieve our goals. Let's have a great semester!! "fly like an eagle, let my culture carry me"
